This is a very good boot for the money, actually its just a really good boot even if it was more money. I wear the pair i bought last year, every work day all year long, in all kinds of wet sloppy mud, snow, rain, and even in hot dry weather and it perfomed excellently. Feet have never got wet, never got cold, and the boot is still going strong. The only reason i ordered another pair this year was to make sure i had a spare pair in case product was discontinued etc. I also just ordered a pair for my son because he was impressed with the quality and endurance of my boots. Get a bottle of wax instead of boot grease or oil, and keep your boots clean, they will last much longer. Gave it 4 stars because there can always be a pair that may not be perfect, but i'm sure that the majority of the time this boot will perform the way it was meant to be used.

I am a log truck driver in Oregon, have only had boots about 2 months now, but they are holding up fine. Have been in heavy mud, snow and lots of water and have had no leaks, wetness or cold feet. A little break in period is needed, but only a few days were needed, and the boots were never uncomfortable. They are a little heavy, but these are logger boots so they are about the same weight as any other loggers i have owned in the past. Good quality leather, soles are screwed on like high end boots and stitched well too. The boots are warm so if you are not outdoors a lot an uninsulated pair may be more appropriate, but my feet have not got to hot driving my truck. I will update this review if anything changes in the next couple of months. I did not give 5 stars because i have not had them long enough to make sure they warrant them.

It's very durable. Works good in most terrain. I will most certainly be buying another pair when these wear out. The only thing that seemed to be a drawback was the tightness around the ankle. But that went away after a few days. I would highly recommend that after a week or so you get a good boot oil and put it on the boots. All in all the Carolina 8" logger boot is a very dependable work shoe.

Use these boots daily on a construction site. They need a little extra break in time compared to other booots I have worn. Soles are a litlle stiff. Was disappointed to see they are made in China. So far the temperature outside has not dropped under 25 degrees so I am not sure how well they work in real cold weather, but so far my feet have been dry and warm.
