I purchased a pair of the Wolverine Big Horn insulated 8-inch boots for my husband a few years ago. He likes them so much that I ordered a second pair in February 2011. As other reviewers mentioned, the soles are soft, which is the only minor "con" involved. When the soles of the first pair wore out, my husband had them re-soled with Vibram, again, as another reviewer mentioned. The old boots are as good as new, with the uppers in great, broken-in shape. The pair I just purchased for him is the same excellent quality as the first boots. As well, he has arthritic feet, and the wide-width choice makes the comfort level of this work boot an A++. Uses: yard work, chopping and stacking wood, all-around everyday work boot. Highly recommend!

Work 12hour days all weather. Comfortable work boot. Keeps feet dry. The only slight net is just maybe half size larger than tagged but not overly so.

Uppers are very durable for a fairly inexpensive work boot. Soles are too soft. I had mine resoled locally with a Vibram sole after I wore the first set of soles out.

For wide feet these are the best boots I have found. I work construction and have been using these boots for years. I replace the insoles with the light blue ones from red wing. The main con is that the soles are soft. They usually wear out before the rest of the boot, but I haven't found anything better. I think for regular use these boots would last great.
