Comfortbale, but two problems
Great with Jeans
Strap Fell Apart
|| Feels true to width
|| Feels full size too small
I love leather flip-flops, and live in them in the summer. I had a pair of Tommy Bahamas that lasted six or seven years. And have been trying to find a replacement for a few years now.
I bought these because I've been increasingly trying to buy American-made products, especially smaller companies. So I was excited when I saw these. These sandals look fantastic, and the arch support is great.
However, there are two big problems. First of all, the strap chafes. That may be something that happens less as time goes on and they get broken in. But I haven't found out yet because of the bigger problem ...
The fifth time I wore these, my five year old stepped on the heel, and the strap ripped in half as I stepped. There wasn't a lot of force exerted. Certainly not enough for it to rip. I expected significantly more durability than that.
Supercasuals is shipping me a new pair, so we'll see how those go. I hope these were just a defective pair. But I'm very disappointed in what appeared to be a promising product.
If the new pair are more durable (and the strap chafes less), I'd recommend these. Because they are very supportive of your arch, and they look great.
BOTTOM LINE: not recommended
