BEST WORK BOOT ON THE MARKET
This is my 5th pair of the same boots. They begin to wear out around the 10 month mark, but I abuse them in water, mud, kicking the back of a shovel, etc... I do a lot of squatting on the balls of my feet and the sole splits just behind the ball from the hyper extension, and is always the first thing to go. Once the sole begins to split the water "proofness" goes out the window. I wear them 5 days a week for about 16 hours a day, or about 3200 hours before they wear out. For most people that would be about 13 months of use.
I really like the tread pattern, its pretty good at gripping any surface, but does not track in too much mud and snow, like a standard work boot tread does. Also the weight (or lack of) can't be over stated. These feel about the same as my sneakers but have toe protection and are high tops.
Timberland needs to use the speed lacing on more of its boots. Great product, well designed, very comfortable. If they could fix the issue with the sole, they'd be the last boots you'd ever need.
Super Casuals is the best. These boots come straight from Timberland, but Super Casuals has the best price, and they are always available.
BOTTOM LINE: recommended
