Got these boots as a birthday gift. Perfect fit out of the box. Had on all day out in wet weather. No leaks, very solid to walk in. Did not hurt my feet as some new boots do..will never buy another brand.

COMMENTS:
The boot was comfortable out of the box,However as far as being water proof, my first step into an ankle deep stream my foot was wet. For the side zipper, what a waste you have to unlace the boot to get it off.

Purchased the boot from the internet as a gift for my husband. The boot fit well and is waterproof. He is using for hunting and really likes the fit and comfort.

Extremely waterproof. We had a lot of rain this season a lot of standing water, bone dry. Very comfortable, side zipper is outstanding I will not own another pair of boots without side zippers. I don't have any negatives

Theses boots are for cold weather, fishing, hunting, and out door in general...the boots fit right out of the box, I have a pair ( mom) and now my son has a pair... And he likes his boot just has much as I do....now we look for things, to test our boots out....So far so good...water oh yeah, mud oh yeah, woods not a problem, can't wait till we have some snow.. These boots have passed every test we put them thru....on and off the boat, in and out of the jeep, all day wear...they are warm , and comfy , to wear all day....And when we are finish, hosed them off, and but them on the mat, .......for any out door people, who, sometimes go off the trail... I defiantly would recommend these boots...go ahead but them thru the test, you'll come out smiling....highly recommended.... : )

Purchased these boots for winter hikes in wet and cold weather. The combination of leather and cloth eliminate the break in period of a full leather boot. They felt snug and warm and comfortable the very first day. First thing I noticed out of the box was the quality construction and stylish appearance. Ordered the wide size to allow for a quality insole and an extra pair of socks. Side zipper is solid, and makes it easy to get in and out. On terrain, they feel secured, keeping my ankles from twisting. I don't know about snakes, so far they keep brushes and other nuisances from hitting my lower legs Could be used as snow boots too, or even motorcycle boots.

I explore rugged mountains, and work on creek banks where several kinds of snakes and other creepy crawly things are. These boots protect my feet and legs from bites, and keep my feet dry and comfortable. I don't slip and slide I dig right in. Best choice I could have made in a snake proof boot...

Great fit right out of the box. No need to break them in. I have owned Rockies and Cabelas snake boots but the Brownings are the best so far. I will definitely by another pair
